THINGS TO REMEMBER - No burning is allowed in the Village limits.
- Leaf and brush pick up will begin as weather permits. The Department of Public Works will continue to do this as long as weather conditions allow. Place "yard waste" at the curb, not into the gutter. Brush placed at the curb must be tied in bundles no longer than four feet, grass clippings and other "yard waste" should be placed in bags or containers which are not too large to be easily handled.
- Trim bushes and shrubs from around your outside water meter register; this will help us get a quick and accurate reading.
- Before planting in the boulevard area you are required to receive a permit from the Village Forester. Tom Tietz, Director of Public Works Department can be reached at 348-5415.
- Bike licenses are available for a one-time fee of $2.00 per bike/owner and are available from any Cambria Police Officer. For more information call the Cambria Police Department at 348-5088.
- If you haven't licensed your dog yet for the year 2008 bring your pet's rabies vaccination papers immediately to the Village Clerk's Office. A $5.00 late fee is applied after April 1st.
- Cat Registration. To protect your pet cat the Village encourages all cat owners to register their cats. For a one time $5.00 fee, you will be issued a tag. The number on the tag will be recorded on a form that will have a detailed description of your cat as well as an attached photo. Please bring the photo with you when you register your pet at the Village Clerk's Office. PLEASE BE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR PETS!! Always clean up after your pet when on a walk, keep your pet licensed and leashed, and PLEASE don't feed stray animals. (This only increases the number of strays in your area which may upset your neighbors.)

DIGITAL TV IS ON ITS WAY: Big changes are coming in television broadcasting. On February 17, 2009, all full power television stations are required to stop broadcasting in analog and continue broadcasting in digital only. This is known as the DTV transition. It is important to know that the end of analog broadcasting does not mean that consumers must purchase new TVs. You shouldn’t need to do anything if you subscribe to a paid television service such as cable or satellite TV (however, check with your providers to be sure) or if you have a TV with a built-in digital tuner. If not, you will only need a digital-to-analog converter box to continue watching broadcast television on that set after February 17, 2009. These boxes will cost approximately $40 to $70, and will be available in stores beginning in early 2008. To help defray the cost of digital-to-analog converter boxes, each U.S. household can request up to two coupons, worth $40 each, to be used toward the purchase of eligible boxes. The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) are administering this coupon program. For more coupon information visit www.dtv2009.gov or call 1-888-DTV-2009. For more general information, call the FCC at 1-888-225-5322 or visit their website at www.dtv.gov. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
