This website is made available to the citizens of Cambria through an ongoing donation by our local Del Monte Foods plant in Cambria. We appreciate this fine action of corporate citizenship by Del Monte...and we thank you! This website is a very useful tool which the Village appreciates and uses to communicate with its citizens. We invite everyone to stay in touch with the current events of your village government though this website. |
Elected Members of the Village Council
The Village Board meets on the first Monday of each month at 6:30 pm in the Village Office located downtown at 111 West Edgewater Street. Citizen speak out time is at the beginning of each meeting and everyone is welcome to come and contribute, or to listen. Our current Village Board is:

Village Office hours are from 8 am thru 3 pm Monday thru Friday, and from 3 pm to 4 pm by appointment only. The Village Offices are located in downtown Cambria. Mailing address is: PO Box 295, Cambria, WI 53923-0295

Fire Department and Ambulance Service
The Cambria Fire Department is located in downtown Cambria at 224 West Edgewater Street. Scott Rataczak is the Cambria Fire Chief. Chief Rataczak's non-emergency telephone number is (920) 348-5501. The Fire Department mailing address is: PO Box 295, Cambria WI 53923-0295.

The Volunteer Fire Department meets the 1st & 3rd Mondays of each month at 7:00 pm at the Cambria Fire Department.
The Cambria Fire Department provides fire protection to Cambria and the surrounding townships.

Ambulance Service and EMTs
The Cambria Volunteer Fire Department and the Cambria Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) operate the Village Ambulance. Jill Kowald is the Ambulance Director. To learn more about the Cambria EMTs, or if you are interested in becoming an EMT, you may contact Jill at: EMT@cambriawisconsin.com .
The Cambria EMTs provides ambulance service and emergency medical services to Cambria and the surrounding townships.
Department of Public Works

The Village of Cambria Department of Public Works provides water, water testing and sewer services to the Village. The department is charged with managing and maintaining the fresh water, storm sewer and sanitary sewer systems in the village. The department also maintains the village street system, Tarrant Park and the municipal swimming pool. |

Cambria Tarrant Park is a wonderful place to picnic, relax, play, swim and have fun! The park entrance is on Cty Hwy "P" (across from the school).
Tarrant Park is located in the east side of the village and is on the south shore of Tarrant Lake. Tarrant Lake offers good fishing and recreation year around!

The Park offers opportunities for all ages: a modern swimming pool, softball diamonds, basketball courts, sand box with digger and playground equipment.
The Cambria Pool is open every day from Memorial Day thru Labor Day. The Pool offers morning swimming lessons.
Public swimming times are from 6am to 8am, 1pm to 5pm, and then 6pm to 9pm...7 days each week.
The Pool may be rented for private pool parties. Call: 348-6190 during pool hours for more information.
Several shelters are available for family picnics and are available on a "first come, first serve" basis. A Kitchen Shelter building is also available for use on an "advance reservation" basis. To reserve the Kitchen Shelter contact the Village Office.

The Jane Morgan Memorial Library located in downtown Cambria, next to the Village Office.
The library is open Monday thru Friday, 10 am until 5 pm, with extended Wednesday hours until 8:00 in the evening. Saturday hours are from 10 am until Noon.
Book discussion groups for adults, pre-school story time and summer library programs are available. Please call the library for more information on these programs.

This listing of Village Permits is not all inclusive.
For additional information on permits, contact the Village Office.
Building Permits are required for any enlargement, alteration, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, new construction or demolition. Contact Jim Lawton of General Engineering at (608) 745-4070 for more information.
Dog Licenses are required for any dog 5 months or older. Each dog must have a rabies inoculation prior to obtaining the license, proof of such must be shown before the license will be issued. Dogs and cats are not allowed to run at large. Contact the Village Office for dog licenses.
Cat Registration is recommended. Registration will protect your pet from being turned over to the Humane Society in the event your cat is reported and caught by the police department. Registration is one-time and includes a one-time $5 fee. You are issued a tag to be worn by your cat. Bring a clear, close-up photograph showing the entire body of your cat to the Village Office when you register.
Bicycle Licenses are required and may be obtained through the Cambria Police department.
OTHER INFORMATION
Curbside Garbage Collections are every Thursday, clear bags are required.
Recycling is mandatory and curbside recycling collections are every other Thursday...contact the Village Office for the schedule. Citizens may take their own materials to be recycled to the Village recycling bins at 119 East Second Street.
