If you would like to learn a little more about UWGP, here are some facts about our UWGP Ethanol Plant at the Friesland Facility...

UWGP began production May 1, 2005.
The UWGP ethanol plant purchases 18 million bushels of corn annually.

UWGP receives all of its corn by truck from the local region.
The facility produces 50,000,000 gallons of ethanol annually.
Ethanol is shipped mostly by truck, but also by rail via the Union Pacific Railroad.
UWGP ships 125,000 tons of distillers grains each year, mostly to local dairy and cattle operators, but also to other states and as far away as Korea and Japan.
UWGP employs 37 full-time staff in the various areas of the business. UWGP has a team orientated workplace, excellent benefits and a highly dedicated workforce.
UWGP has among the best ethanol per bushel yield rates in the industry and also among the highest production rates per gallon of fermenter capacity.
UWGP has had exceptional net earnings. Over its first 20 months of operations ending December 31, 2006 UWGP recorded $51,162,760.00 in earnings. 50% of these earnings were distributed to its members.
