Dalton, a friendly town
found in the southwestern corner of Green Lake County. Many scenic
roads can be experienced in and around this area for a true country flavor
all year around. |
Old and new can be found simultaneously within this village.
An Amish horse-drawn buggy will frequent the streets while the Union Pacific
Railroad supports an active freight train schedule that streams through this
special community.
|

Dalton
is fortunate to have a large and very active conservation club...the
Dalton Rod and Gun Club.
It operates a park available to the community.
This tree-lined park comes complete with softball fields, trap
shooting, playground equipment for the little ones, and barbecue &
picnic areas for recreation. The summer is filled with events that you
and your family will not want to miss. Good talk, good food and lots of
fun! |

The Dalton Rod and Gun Club also played a very active role in the establishment
of the Grand River Wildlife and Recreation Area...7,000 acres of pure heaven for our naturalists
and sportsmen! It is located just
north of Dalton. Managed as a
waterfowl restoration area, about 3,5000 acres are flooded, creating an ideal
habitat for waterfowl. White-tailed
deer, gadwell, widgeon, teal, and mallards are aplenty for your avid wildlife
personality.
