Article I - Name The name of this organization shall be the Watertown Agri-Business Club (WABC).
Article II - Purposes and Objectives Section 1 - To promote an active interest in the community. Section 2 - To unify and strengthen the agricultural business in the community. Section 3 - To establish beneficial producer-consumer relationships. Section 4 - To provide a place for members to freely express themselves on ideas and problems in the agricultural business field. Section 5 - To enable members to speak with a common voice on matters pertaining to the agribusiness world.
Article III - Membership Section 1 - Membership shall be open to anyone interested in Agriculture in the Watertown area: a.) Prospective member can be recommended to the membership committee by any member in good standing. b.) The membership committee shall screen perspective members and make recommendations to the board of directors.
Article VII - Board of Directors Section 1 - The board of directors shall consist of the elected officers and directors. Section 2 - The immediate past president shall be a member of the board of directors. Section 3 - The board of directors shall meet when called by the president or when called by any other three members of this board. It shall be the executive authority of the club.
Article VIII - Elections Section 1 - Elections shall be held in April with new officers installed in May. Section 2 - Only members in good standing shall vote.
Article IX - Meetings Regular meetings shall be held each month on an acceptable date, except June, July and August when regular meetings will not be held.
Article X - Amendments Amendments to this constitution may be made at any regular meeting upon recommendation of the board of directors. A simple majority of the members present will be needed for adoption.
